The focus of this training session will be an overview of Form 990 and the most common schedules (A, B, C, D & O), including how to prepare a complete and concise return including governance, compensation, and tax exempt bond reporting considerations. We will also focus on Schedule H reporting specifically required for Hospital entities, and discuss current updates.

About our Speakers
Jonathan Miller, CPA is a Partner with the Bonadio Group with a primary focus on Tax-Exempt Organizations. Annually Jonathan provides oversight in the preparation and / or review of over 50 Federal Form 990/990ez. In addition, Jonathan assists his client’s governance members execute their fiduciary duties through presenting the Form 990/990ez to them in lay terms.
Bridget Kehm, Esq. is an attorney in the Law Offices of Pullano & Farrow PLLC’s Corporate and Health Care Practice Groups, where she provides counsel to not-for-profit organizations, tax-exempt entities, and health care providers on a variety of matters, including governance and compliance with state and federal tax-exemption requirements.

- Requirements of Federal Form 990 and its various schedules
- Best practices to complete and accurate 990 and the required schedules.

Mickey O'Neill, RN, BSN, MA, CMAC, CCM has been working in case management for about 20 years in the hospital setting. She is currently the Director of Case Management at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Mickey received her Master’s Degree in Negotiation, Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding, and holds a certification in Mediation. She is currently a doctoral learner, developing expertise in Lifestyle Medicine and expecting her DNP in 2019. Mickey lives in a rural setting with her two children, cat and dog. In her free time she enjoys cooking, hiking and practices Iyangar Yoga.
Edna Shanks-Muhammad, MSW has been working in case management for more than 16 years. She is currently the Manager of Case Management at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Edna’s is a licensed clinical social worker and certified case manager with expertise that includes: employee engagement, social work clinical supervision and conflict resolution. Edna is married and has two children. In her free time she enjoys cooking and writing.
